Social Brand Executive
Seeking a Social Brand Executive to build relationships with business owners in the community and provide solutions to help aide their social media marketing efforts, while simultaneously inspiring a level of excitement in adopting social media as a new medium of marketing and advertising. Your energy and sociable prowess will enable you to build a level of hype around social media marketing, a relatively unheard-of marketing approach for most local businesses, and educate business owners in the importance of social media and how it can translate into long-term community awareness, customer loyalty, and ultimately, sales.
As a Social Brand Executive, you will represent Socialmash Media as you attend local networking functions, follow-up on existing leads, and make new connections on your journey to build our internal social community larger and broader. We are looking for individuals who can interact comfortably and confidently with the best and brightest business owners and executives. Strong organizational, verbal and analytical skills are also necessary. You must also fully understand everything about social media and the social networks you’re working with including, but not limited to: Facebook, Facebook Places, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare, and Yelp.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
- Identify and resolve client concerns.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to accurately recommend specific products and solutions.
- Initiate direct contact with customers, “After the fact” to ensure expectations have been met and services are operating as promised.
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific customers to contact.
- Measure the impact of social media on the clients overall marketing efforts.
Requirements
This position will require that you posses the following:
- A Bachelors degree is preferred, but not necessary with a proven sales record
- “Otherworldly” multi-tasking skills (can you live chat and take calls at the same time?)
- Salesforce or comparable CRM experience is a must
- Ability to work productively, in a team environment
- A sense and understanding of accountability
- Professional, patient and courteous demeanor
- A solid understanding of current web technologies (You don’t need to be a developer, but knowing what they do will help considerably)
- Must be a motivated self-starter, requiring little hands-on direction with the ability to set and meet goals
- Mac OS X / iOS proficient
- Follow Through, Follow Through, Follow Through
- A love of all things, “Web” and “Social Media”

- This is a part-time, outside sales position.
- Hours are flexible and dependent on your efficiency, performance and clients’ needs.
- Compensation is commission-based and performance focused. Compensation comes in both upfront and monthly residual commissions.
